You’re about to say goodbye to your first trimester and enter a more relaxing chapter of pregnancy — the second trimester.
Although you might still feel some nausea or vomiting, the symptoms are becoming less intense and less frequent. Even better, the risk of miscarriage significantly drops at this stage, which often brings emotional relief.
Your breasts are continuing to grow heavier and fuller — usually the first part of your body to clearly show signs of pregnancy. That’s completely normal, especially if this is your first baby.
From now on, your diet matters more than ever. Focus on:
• Lean protein
• Fresh fruits & vegetables
• Fiber-rich foods
And try to limit your carb intake as much as possible.
By now, you’ve probably settled on the doctor who will follow your pregnancy, and maybe even chosen the hospital where you plan to give birth. Both decisions are important for peace of mind and comfort.
Whenever possible, choose a doctor with an up-to-date clinic that includes ultrasound machines and lab access — that way, you don’t have to visit different places for every test. And if you live in a traffic-heavy city like Cairo, choosing a nearby clinic will save you a lot of time and stress.
As for your baby, he’s now swallowing and urinating amniotic fluid, and developing unique fingerprints. His head is finally becoming more proportional to his body
