At Week 15, your pregnancy is starting to show more clearly. Your skin may be glowing, your mood may still swing unpredictably, and mild back pain might start appearing — all part of the journey.
By now, you’re likely used to your prenatal vitamins and prescriptions. Regular visits to your doctor are a must, and you should have already completed the major blood and screening tests to ensure both your health and your baby’s.
Good news: nausea and dizziness are likely fading — and may completely disappear for some women at this point, depending on their body and pregnancy.
Some unexpected symptoms might show up too — like a runny nose or even occasional nosebleeds. This condition is called pregnancy rhinitis, and it’s completely normal. Still, always inform your doctor about any new or unfamiliar symptoms, just to be safe.
If your doctor recommends an amniocentesis between weeks 14 and 18, don’t panic — it’s a routine genetic screening. In more than 90% of cases, the results show no issues.
You’re also likely feeling more energetic now. Use this energy to enjoy bonding time with your partner. It’s natural to feel nervous about your future responsibilities — but remember, you’re not in it alone.
Your baby can now sense light and darkness through the womb. His legs are growing longer than his arms, but his eyelids are still closed. He now weighs around 2.5 ounces and is roughly 4 inches long from crown to rump.
