You might not look pregnant yet, but your body is working overtime behind the scenes — and you’re likely feeling the effects. Nausea, vomiting, and emotional ups and downs are all common during Week 9. Morning sickness is still peaking, but don’t worry — it should begin to ease soon.
Now is a great time to start following a more structured diet. Focus on protein, dairy (especially milk), fruits, and vegetables. Try to avoid greasy or fatty foods, as they tend to make nausea worse.
Your health is critical right now — not just for you, but for your growing baby. Be diligent with your medications and vitamins. If it helps, write them down and hang a daily schedule somewhere visible.
Feeling weak and sleepy? That’s normal too. Take short naps whenever possible.
To ease nausea, try snacking on salty or ginger crackers — but avoid overdoing it.
By now, your doctor likely ordered several blood tests, and hopefully, you’ve already completed them. These tests will determine which vitamins or medications are best for you. Folic acid is especially important during this stage to support the healthy development of your baby’s brain, heart, and nervous system.
