The little red hen then decided to depend on herself and went to plant the wheat herself. And when it was time to harvest it, she asked the animals to help her again. But then again they all refused.

The little red hen harvested the wheat herself, and then ground it into flour. She went to the other animals and one more time asked them help her bake bread, but they all refused.

Then she decided to bake the bread herself, and when she invited the animals to share it with her. But they all said that they were too hungry to wait.

The little red hen ate the bread all by herself, and she was very happy.

2. The Ugly Duckling

Once upon a time, there was a mother duck who had laid some eggs. One of the eggs was different from the others. It was bigger and uglier.

When the eggs hatched, all the ducklings were beautiful, except for the ugly duckling. He was teased and bullied by the other ducklings, and he felt very sad.

One day, the ugly duckling ran away from the farm. He wandered alone for a long time, and he was very lonely.

One day, the ugly duckling saw a group of swans swimming in a pond. He thought they were the most beautiful creatures he had ever seen.

One day, a big, bad wolf came to the forest. He was very hungry, and he wanted to eat the three little pigs.

The wolf went to the first little pig's house and knocked on the door.

"Little pig, little pig, let me in!" said the wolf.

"No, no, by the hair on my chinny chin chin," said the little pig. "I won't let you in."

The wolf blew down the house made of straw, and the little pig ran away.

The wolf went to the second little pig's house and knocked on the door.

"Little pig, little pig, let me in!" said the wolf.

A few days later, the shepherd boy played the same trick again. He cried out: "Wolf! Wolf! There's a wolf attacking the sheep!"

Once again, the villagers came running to help, but there was no wolf. The shepherd boy laughed and said, "I was just joking again!"

The villagers were very angry this time. They warned the shepherd boy that if he cried wolf again, they would not believe him.

A few days later, a real wolf did attack the sheep. The shepherd boy cried out: "Wolf! Wolf! Help! There's a real wolf attacking the sheep!"

But the villagers thought he was playing another trick on them, so they ignored him.

The wolf ate all of the sheep, and the shepherd boy learned his lesson.

6. The Gingerbread Man

Once upon a time, there was an old woman who baked a gingerbread man. She put him in the oven to bake, but he jumped out and ran away.

The gingerbread man ran down the road, singing:

Run, run, as fast as you can!

You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!

The old woman chased after him, but she couldn't catch him.

The gingerbread man met a farmer on the road.

"Stop, Gingerbread Man!" said the farmer. "I'm going to eat you!"

"Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!" said the troll. "I'm going to eat you!"

The smallest goat was very scared. He turned around and ran away.

Next, the middle billy goat gruff tried to cross the bridge.

"Who's that trip-trapping over my bridge?" roared the troll.

"It's me, Billy Goat Gruff!" said the middle goat. "And I'm going to cross your bridge."

"Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!" said the troll. "I'm going to eat you!"

The middle goat was also very scared. He turned around and ran away.

Finally, the biggest billy goat gruff tried to cross the bridge.

"Who's that trip-trapping over my bridge?" roared the troll.
