Your baby at this stage of pregnancy is about the size of an avocado and is yet to double in size the coming period. Don’t worry if your belly hasn’t grown large yet. Your waist is surely growing larger and so does your baby.By now you must be regularly visiting your doctor to make sure your baby is healthily growing, which is reflected in the dimensions showing on the ultra sound as well as the extra killos you’re putting on.
By now you may have gained about 5 killos since pregnancy, yet this may slightly vary from one woman to another.
You’re still in the relaxing period of your pregnancy, where you don’t feel too heavy yet, with a few signs of pregnancy, if any, showing on you. Also you’re saved the pain of nausea and vomiting you suffered during the first trimster.
As for the development of your baby, its head is now more straight and firm than it used to be.
The total size of your little one now is 4 1/2 inches long, head to rump, and its weight has reached 3 1/2 ounces.
This trimster is your heaven time during pregnancy, so make sure you make the best of it before your baby arrives and takes much of your time and your partner’s.
Perhaps you need to finalise whatever plans (an of course I don’t mean baby shopping) before the new member of your family arrives. But I mean, you can get things more settled when it comes to life routine and home arrangement. Also buy essential stuff that might still be missing at home. Or even applying a new healthy food diet that you both have long been wanting to apply. At check your calendar, if you have any family commitments of events that will fall within the first or the second month of your delivery, then it’s better that you arrange for them now to spare more time for yourself and the baby, also to have things under control and save yourself much unwanted panic.
Also it’s the best time to plan for a trip or two, sort of reviving your honeymoon with your partner and settle much of the worry that might be, secretly, bombarding both of you as a result of the change that’s about to creep into your life.
In the end, I advise you, keep a good comfortable heart and a mind that’s at ease, as much as you can. This is the best advise I can give you during your entire pregnancy.
