As your baby grow, now reaching the size of a huge pineapple and his kicks are becoming not just felt but also seen. You can now see your belly moving to the right and left. Some changes are creeping in, like feeling your body becoming out of balance, bumping accidentally to the shelves anything you stand close to, try to put up with it, each day now is taking your close to the finish line.
Reach this stage of pregnancy moving and sleeping are becoming more challenging than before, of course due to you putting much weight and having a belly that’s growing at least 200 grams each week.
Try to sit and relax move the remaining weeks, even if you plan to attend fitness classes. Sit more and raise your feet on a coffee table or any short table. Swelling is your fatalist enemy the coming weeks, for your body is retaining body like never before. Also during your sleep try to rest your hands on two pillows next to you, this will remove the weight putting on your wrists due to water retention that’s pressuring specifically the carpal tunnel at your wrist causing much pain and numbness. You might need to wear a brace that will help giving your aching wrist some support and prevent it from much unwanted bending.
Try to keep your skin generally conditioned these weeks, for your entire body skin is starting to get impacted by pregnancy in a way that will vanish right after pregnancy. But keeping it moist will help alleviate the impact and help you regain your skin’s beauty fast and easily.
Starting now you will need to focus more on having more clues about labor and early days after delivery.
Try to attend any antenatal classes, whether within your community or online. It will help you have a clear idea about things will go on the big day and the days following.
If you haven’t already did, try to have your hospital bag packed and ready. Check the hospital needs for hospital requirements may vary from one country to the other.
Also get all essential tasks you plan to get fulfilled the coming weeks and the weeks following labor done. Make room for some rest that you will inevitably need after you receive the new member of your family.
Arrange for your stay and accommodation following delivery, seek help from your family and friends. You might ask friends to have prepare some meals for you. Also you may prefer to stay with your mother for a couple of weeks right after you leave the hospital.
Have your house arranged and cleaned up. Also make sure your baby room is fully furnished and ready to receive its guest.
Try to enjoy the coming weeks in any way that suits you whether by setting nice postpartum plans with your partner planning for a new look, a new haircut, new hair colour or all that together.
You need to buy yourself a number of good nursing bras, and perhaps a number of comfy buttoned shirts that will make it easy for your to feed your baby while you’re out.
And yes start buying diapers size 1 and 2. Save yourself time and effort for a good number of days after your deliver your baby and regain your health.
Having more tasks and matters settled will generally make you feel in control and organised.
