The size of your belly is rapidly developing in these remaining few weeks and so is the size of your baby, who’s now at the size of a swiss chard. Heavy weight putting on your body and limbs is making movement much difficult these days, while you’re in serious need to get moving and exercises to prepare your body for delivery, especially if you plan for natural childbirth, so try to take it easy while moving to avoid slipping, but don’t make this feeling of heaviness stop you from walking and exercising regularly, which will help alleviate the burden off your bones.


You need to walk not less than a full hour each day. But be careful. Make sure there’s someone around or accompanying you, for you might go to labor any minute, of course depending on insights the doctor should be giving you.

By now, your doctor or midwife must have given you hypothetical prediction regarding your due date. Starting this week, your baby is considered a full-term. Meaning, if you delivered your baby any time starting this week, your baby’s heart and lungs are considered full and complete, operating very well and ready to function perfectly.

Besides planning for the labor day and your stay at the hospital, you will also need to plan the 3 or 4 weeks after delivery, to avoid much unwanted stress and mess in your life. If you plan to stay at one of your friends’ place, or at your mother’s, or even if you plan to go back home, you will need to arrange for the logistics and who will look after you and the house, while your busy with your new baby, you will need such preparations more than you can imagine, so you’d better have your plan clearly set now, and engage your partner, who will help you get just what you want and need.

Sleeping through night is becoming more challenging, so you may need to sleep on intervals throughout the day. This would also be a good training for you, as you will need to resort to short naps when your little one arrives and starts crying to be fed ever 2 to 3 hours in the early weeks.
